nature’s cry
Made on Procreate, 12”x8” & 8x8”
Nature’s Cry is a series that promotes my love for our permanent home we call Earth. Thinking about climate change and factors that play deeply into the impact on mother nature, I crave for altering season’s that are full of color. The type of saturation that you remember when we were all children of our own young and wise mothers. Crying for Spring, is a digital representation of varying colors, shapes, hues, and lines. I take in the way the sun casts shadows through the trees, how the rivers flow, and the way the pink tulips dance in the wild. Each color represents its own variable, each shape has its own organic form. Although, Sun Ray’s, is related to Crying for Spring, it instead shows how spring blossoms from winter. Fewer colors that are less saturated compared to Crying for Spring. Petal and Red Lily, are modern studies of flowers that I believe show the power of mother nature. My love for the ocean doesn’t affect the amount I have for spring. My Mom would always tell me, “the ocean heals the body.” By creating a contemporary digital twist to the ocean and its beings, I show the importance the ocean has for the earth.
